As pure tooltips the current implementation works just like it should.

I have a suggestion/request however. I basically need a pop-up that includes various input controls, e.g. buttons etc.
Presently the only thing that prevents me from being able to use the tooltip for this purpose, is the fact that it hides once the mouse is moved outside the trigger element.

It would be nice if the tooltip would stay open while the mouse is inside the tooltip itself as well, that way users can interact with content in the tooltip.

Best regards,

Hi Thomas,

that is indeed a request I've heard before, and I'd love to see this functionality too to be honest.

The issue is that the TooltipService (the class that controls the tooltip objects) has to be generic and independent from any tooltip content, and is listening to the application's mousemove event to take proper actions.

It's not that easy to intercept this event bubbling from one of the tooltips controls, so hence why it is not there (yet).

If you have any suggestions however, please do not hesitate to submit them.

I hope to be able to trick the thing in the future..
